Although Keats Island has received some recent rain,
the island and the forest remain extremely dry and the duff is only surface wet.
One afternoon of sunshine will turn everything back to tinder dry again. Although the Coastal Burn Ban has been lifted, please continue to observe the Keats tradition of no fires until after Halloween.
